Leah and Joe

Hello all! I know it's been a while, but MAN, have I been busy! Between weddings, teaching summer school and two grad level courses, time really just got away from me. Now is the moment to catch up; first, a short entry about a wedding I had the honor to photograph at the end of June. The setting was quite picturesque: Martha's Vineyard. The ceremony took place at the Federated Church in Edgartown, followed by a reception at the East Chop Beach Club. It was so lovely...even the weather agreed with the couple, presenting them with a rainbow over the reception site.

Leah's dress was a stunner, even on the hanger...

It was her smile that really lit the pictures up, though. Her eyes were fantastic!

Being on the Vineyard, I went with the seaside theme in the pictures...

And I wasn't alone with that. The cake and the centerpieces also reflected the New England island/beach theme. Yes, those are REAL sandcastles! Leah found them online.

The beach club provided a great backdrop for the pictures. I couldn't resist using the lifeguard station while photographing Joe and his groomsmen.

All of the bridal party members were quite fun-loving. The maid of honor had tons of fun singing along during the reception. I wanted the bridal party's pictures to reflect that.

I loved that Joe and Leah were game for some extra time together to take some more pictures. How could I not ask; look at that sky!

I can't wait to get back to MV as a civilian. I had a wonderful time, you two! Congrats and best wishes with your marriage.
